Welcome to NicheDoctrine

Ecommerce niche research — every number real, or labeled. Choose a feature below, or open the menu (☰) to jump anywhere.

💡 Suggestions for you

Picked from your live search data — every suggestion on the full screen carries its reason, its source, and its date.

Research a keyword

Every search runs on live Etsy data: real listings fetched from the official Etsy API through this site's own secure pipe the moment you tap Analyze — no key needed from you. Every figure is labeled REAL — and anything Etsy does not return is shown as NOT AVAILABLE, never estimated.

👋 Start with a keyword. Type one above and tap Analyze keyword — you'll see live Etsy results here: the real competition count, the top listings, prices and favorites, every figure labeled by how it was obtained.

Niche verdict — “”

Three published scores, one grade. A score is only shown when its real inputs exist — otherwise it says Not measured and tells you exactly what would unlock it. We never grade on air.

How the verdict is calculated (published formulas)

Tags & keyword suggestions

Tags are read from listings that publish them. Title phrases are extracted from the top titles — useful, and labeled as what they are.

Copy-ready tag set (13)

Built from published tags first, then title phrases — each ≤ 20 characters, per Etsy's tag rule.

Shops in the top listings

Competitor view of your live results: who holds the top slots, at what prices. Full shop analysis (reviews, all listings) is not part of the listings search response, so it is not shown.

Listing audit

Paste your listing's details and audit them against Etsy's published listing rules and the niche data above. Every check explains itself.

1-Click Listing Optimization

One click: a full optimization pass — keyword-front-loaded title (≤ 140 characters), 13 rule-checked tags, your price positioned against the niche median, and every fix explained. Rule-based on your live search data + Etsy's published listing rules; it produces a ready-to-paste listing.

💡 Suggestions

Every suggestion here is built from your live search data — and every card says why, from what source, as of when. No data behind an idea means no suggestion: that is the rule, not a gap.

Niche suggestions

From the niches you have searched, plus the seasonal calendar. Cards reuse the verdict engine's own grade — when the inputs are not public, the card says Not measured instead of faking a score.

Product suggestions

Product types counted from the titles of your searches' top listings — the formats buyers already choose in each niche. Angles to make your own original version of, never copies.

Research report

Standalone report with the full evidence and method disclosure.

eBay — next integration

Status: planned, not connected. No eBay numbers are shown anywhere until the real API is wired — a tools page that invents data is worse than an honest empty one.

The plan (official APIs only): eBay's Browse API returns real active listings, prices and item counts for any keyword; the Taxonomy API gives the real category tree; the Analytics API (seller accounts) adds traffic data. That covers the same 10-function panel as Etsy — competition counts, price distributions, top sellers — from eBay's own servers, under eBay's developer program terms.
  • Developer account + API keys → Browse API search by keyword/category
  • Same honesty labels, same verdict formulas — one search, marketplaces side by side
  • Sold-listing data comes only from eBay-sanctioned endpoints (Terapeak/seller research), never scraped

Amazon — limited by design

Status: honest limitation, stated plainly.

Amazon does not offer any third-party product/keyword research API. The Product Advertising API exists for Associates to promote products — it does not provide niche research data, and using it (or scraping Amazon search pages) for research would break Amazon's terms. Tools that show Amazon "search volume" are estimating from outside data or breaking those terms. NicheDoctrine stays by the book: this tab stays limited until Amazon offers a sanctioned route.
  • What may come later, legally: analysis of your own Amazon seller data (Seller Central reports you own)
  • What will never come: scraped Amazon data presented as research

Gumroad — own-shop analytics, Phase 1.5

Status: planned. Gumroad research means something different: not competitor spying, but your own shop's numbers.

The Gumroad API (with your own account token) returns your products, sales, and customers. Phase 1.5 wires it into a dashboard: revenue by product, conversion, refund rate, best sellers — all REAL, because they are your own books. Competitor research on Gumroad is not offered by Gumroad itself, so we will not fake it.

Live board

Only you see this screen — it opens only for your admin account. A search is counted when Etsy answers it; “online now” counts apps that checked in during the last couple of minutes.
